Mother’s Day is May 13 and Father’s Day is June 20 – just around the corner!  As many of us think back to where we learned about handling money, it was mom or dad who first showed us the way.

Yet some people did not have a mom and dad to show them how to manage their money.  That’s where Beacon of Knowledge Ministry helps.  BOK Ministry helps families to create a spending plan and learn to save.  Some are struggling with debt, so we help educate them on how to properly handle debt and create a plan to eliminate it.  Many are coming to understand what true stewardship looks like – how we can use our finances to honor God.

Honor your mother and father, or grandparent, sibling or friend, with gifts to Beacon of Knowledge Ministry this year.  Every day is Mother’s Day and Father’s Day here at BOK Ministry as we help men and women provide a better life for themselves and their families through financial education and outreach.

• Your tribute gift will be listed on our blog as well as acknowledge at our benefit dinner.

Youth Study - Discovering God's Way of Handling Money

This youth study is designed to help teens create practical habits that will set them on a lifelong journey of handling money responsibly.  Wednesday nights - the course runs from June 20 thru August 15.  Kick-off Pizza Party on June 20, 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
Study to be held at Towerville Christian Church, 10 Hannum Drive, East Fallowfield.

Teens will learn about...

• Money Saving Ideas
• Checking Account
• Begining a Budget
• Job Resume
• Savings Account
• Financial Goals

The group will also be visiting local businesses to see how the principles they are learning apply to running a business.  Stock Competition during the course of study.  Matched Savings Program sponsored by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.

Eliminating Debt Workshop

This 2-day workshop is being held at Parkesburg United Methodist Church on Wed. March 28 and Wed. April 4,  5:30pm - 7:00pm.  Workbook Cost:  $11.00.
