Beacon of Knowledge Ministry is participating in the Friends Helping Friends program. We are selling a one-day shopping pass which entitles the customer to a 25% discount on most items in the store.  The cost is $5 per pass and the proceeds go directly to the ministry.

• 15% off departments include: cosmetics, fragrances, fine jewlery, watches, gifts, china, glassware, domestics, luggage, housewares, furniture, juvenile products, toys, mens & ladies athletic footwear, the Salons at Boscov's - product on ly, and Boscov's Optical exluding eye exams.
• 10% on grills, small appliances, RTA furniture, oriental rugs and mattresses.
• If something is on sale, you still get the sale price and the discount!
• It is NOT just a shopping pass - it is also a REGISTER TO WIN for great prizes.
• Drawing for all door prizes will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013.  Winners will be notified by mail.

On the day of the sale, one Partnered Non Profit group at each store will win an additional $100 donation from Boscov's, so make sure our name is listed at the bottom of the pass with BOK Ministry's name written on it.

BOK Ministry Adopt-A-Night at The Point

Beacon of Knowledge Ministry is hosting Adopt-A-Night at The Point  - Youth Center in Parkesburg.

DATE:  Tuesday, July 29

TIME:   5 - 8pm

WHERE?   The Point    700 Main Street, Parkesburg

What is Adopt-A-Night?
  Adopt-A-Night Program is where each church brings a meal and a message to The Point's Youth one night.  There are over 15 churches that currently support The Point.

HOW TO HELP:

• Donate food items - sign up thru Sign Up Genius where a list of items we need is posted.  Items can be dropped off at Thorndale United Methodist Church, 3503 Lincoln Highway, Thorndale by Mon. July 28.
• Join us that night!  Help to serve the meal, interact with the children and/or hear the message.
• Pray for a successful event and the families that participate in the The Point's services.

Summer Youth Study - Discovering God's Way of Handling Money

This youth study is designed to help teens create practical habits that will set them on a lifelong journey of handling money responsibly.  Tuesday nights - the course runs from May 27 thru July 29.  Kick-off Barbeque  on May 27, 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the home of Cathy Jackson, Facilitator.
Study to be held at two locations including The Parkesburg Point, 356 Main Street, Parkesburg.  $25 program fee including study workbook.

Teens will learn about...

• Recording Income & Spending
• Money Saving Ideas
• Checking Account
• Budgeting
• Job Resume
• Savings Account
• Financial Goals

The group will also be visiting local businesses to see how the principles they are learning apply to running a business.  Stock Competition during the course of study.  Matched Savings Program upon the completion of the study.
